Remembering Julie Chen

Julie, you'll be on my mind in this journey
Samuel Ko - Friend from Harvest

Julie, I must confess that I am simply not as strong as you in facing the fears of my life. I will ask Dad for such strength, and I will thank Him that He gave me you as an example. There are a couple of things I'll remember:

1. I remember that one time when we were in Mikey's (of San Diego) car at the back going somewhere (that part I forget), and the song, "Dance" by Caedmon's Call was playing. I think you liked it that time--I liked it, too--, and during the song you asked me, "Hey, Sam, wouldn't it be great if we could die right now?" I came to some hesitation, nodded, and said, "Um, sure." I had presumed that we were relating to each other hypothetically that time, but I now know that your desire has been most genuine, and for me, this is hopeful.

2. It was very cool of you to invite me to come and have some dinner with you and the roommates. I remember that among us it was you, Adeline, Peggy--I know there were others, too--and I must say that that was an awesome time and a rare occasion when I can sit comfortably among sisters to just talk. I remember it being an interesting conversation, and you sisters were very gracious, something I would not be so fortunate to find in many women. Thanks, Julie.
