Chicago and Oprah (Posted Jun 09 2008) Lila Lam - Friend from Bishop Hello Julie, Remember when we went to Chicago to see Oprah. We did not have tickets but decided to think positive and hope for the best. After waiting outside for 2 hours, we finally got in. We were the only ones without tickets and they decided to let 2 very nice ladies in. I was so estactic to finally be on the show. Later, I realized that you only saw 2 of her shows. I thought you were a fan just like me. I still can't believe you trekked all the way out there to see someone you only saw on TV a few times. We also went to see Blue Man Group, went dancing (remember the woman dancing-Mack!!), Chicago Style Pizza, explored musuems and Chicago. It was so much fun. We stayed at the Hyatt and even used their gym. We stayed up talking late at night. I thought to myself, Gee, Julie is a great travel buddy. You are so cool!!! You were a lot of fun, easy going and loving. I loved getting to know you. I was hoping to travel with you again but it never happened. I miss you terribly! I still can't believe you are gone. Your spirit is so strong and I know I always have a friend listening. Miss you and love you, lila
